Name of the Social Innovation: Tap Tap See
Tap Tap See is an iPhone mobile camera
application that helps users who are blind and visually impaired in photograph
objects and identify them out loud by utilizing the inbuilt idevice camera and
voice over functionality. The applications double tap functionality enables the
user to take any two or three dimensional object at any angle, have it
accurately analyzed and defined within a matter of seconds. The idevice’s voice
over functionality then speaks the identification audibly to the user. The application also has additional features
such as the ability to reload the last image identification, saving the identified
image to the camera roll with the attached tags, and finally the ability of uploading
images from the camera library, sharing of media via text, email, Facebook and
Twitter.
