Two third of
the world till now doesn’t have internet access and this is where the
internet.org comes.Intenet.org is Facebook led initiative with the goal of bringing
internet access to the people who are deprived the benefits of internet. Many people’s
idea and talent gets unexplored because of lack of internet.
To inspire the
world with internet, internet.org is trying to go through the hurdles of
accessibility, affordability, and awareness. To reach this aim the organization
conducts two projects;
1. Free Basics
by Facebook: This project provides people with access to basic websites for
free example news, job, postings, health and education information.
2. Connectivity
Lab: Here they develop ways to make internet access possible in places around
the world.
3. Express
WiFi by Facebook: Empowering local
entrepreneurs to provide fast affordable internet aces in there area.
